Steve Stubbs, Associate Publisher of RedMoney & Islamic Finance News has agreed to collaborate with Prof Mohamed Aslam, the Chief Organizer of 11th International Conference on Islamic Economics and Finance (ICIEF) and Dr. Haji Zul, Project Manager for ICIFE Symposium that would be held on 11 – 13 October 2016tentatively at The Royale Chulan Ballroom Kuala Lumpur. The collaboration could be in the form of advertisement & editorial write-up in e-IFN with hardcopy promotion in the IF Education Bulletin to be flashed globally.
Prof Aslam said to-date 23 papers has been received from Islamic scholars for presentation at the 11thICIEF. He expected to receive a total of 100 scholars and academe of Islamic Economics and Finance world-wide. The two days conference would see broad representation of universities blend with practitioners and decision makers with interest group covering 5-6 domains of IF Education.
Whereas the adjoining event on the 3rd day would focus on ICIFE Symposium to deal with MIFER (Malaysian Islamic Finance Educators Report) 2015. The areas of deliberation could cover core IEF education relating to educators and graduates rate of employment opportunities; higher talent development and curriculum standards. This symposium is targeted to bridge the gap of IEF core knowledge of higher education and quality control on teaching and research. Gathering input and feedback from the industry players and alumni experience and opportunities for post-graduate are fundamentally important in encouraging the right-mix of participation to ensure right immersion.
Prime Minister of Malaysia has been invited to grace the official opening of this 2-in-1 events on 11 October and concurrently to inaugurate the launch of International Federation of Islamic Economics and Finance Educators (I-FIEFE). The President of Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has indicated interest to be present too. As starters, I-FIEFE Office will be based along side at ICIFE Secretariat.
